Lebanese racers qualify to GT Academy Race Camp in Silverstone

Abdel Hadi brothers Bahaa and Hadi, and Jamal Ghandour, have qualified to the Nissan GT Academy Race Camp that is set to take place at the Silverstone Circuit in the UK later this year.

Bahaa, Hadi and Jamal were part of a four-man Lebanese team that took part in the Nissan GT Academy Middle East final this past weekend in Dubai. The event witnessed participation of 28 drivers from seven regional countries, and the trio showed their talent by finishing in the top 6 and thus qualifying to the UK event. Unfortunately, the fourth Lebanese participant Mohammed Chehab will not proceed.

The GT Academy is a driver discovery/development program established through a collaboration between Gran Turismo (the video game) and Nissan. Online qualifiers are held within Gran Turismo, and the top qualifiers are invited to National Finals in each participating country.

Those who passed the Middle East final will now participate in a Race Camp held at Silverstone, UK, for the final selection. The final winner will undergo an intensive Driver Development Programme designed by Nissan, and will participate in races around the world as a professional driver.

We would like to wish Bahaa, Hadi and Jamal all the success in their endeavor. Make us proud!
