The third round of SWS Karting in Lebanon was as thrilling as ever and yet again saw another winner. This time the winner is not a strange face. He is probably the most consistent figure in the championship so far after claiming third place in first round, fourth place in the second round and wing the event yesterday. Mohammed Basbous showed everybody that he is certainly the man to beat and he is the man with the highest points in Lebanon. Second place went to last event winner Ralph Matta. Ralph was determined to keep his string form after last round’s success and his Solid second place give him practically what he asked for. Third place went to Imad Diab who had the highest finish so far this season after Solid and unlucky displays in the last to rounds. Imad drove the race under difficult circumstances and made to third place to complete the podium. First round winner Karim Fakhry made it to 4th place to improve on a very disappointing second round. Karim who is considered one of the fastest drivers in the field drove a very composed race to win the first heat and finish a solid fourth at the end. Joey haj last round’s second place winner made to the last heat and finished 7th. Joey who had a big shunt in the race drove well and secured a good amount of points to put him 4th overall between the Lebanese contestants in the SWS championship.
