Lebanon organizes first Vespa Rally Paper in the world

A.N.Boukather, in collaboration with Roadster diner and under the patronage of the Italian embassy in Beirut, have organized a Rally Paper dedicated to Vespa riders, a world first, on the 8th of June, 2014.

A launching ceremony took place 2 days prior to the event to brief the contestants about the Rally Paper’s rules and regulations. With the support of Commercial Insurance and the supervision of YASA and in order to reflect the true image of the civilized motorcycle community, the riders were asked to follow several security measures, such as wearing their protective gear at all times and abide by restricted speed limits.

Sunday morning, over 50 Vespas including 4 participants from the Vespa Club Jordan started their engines at Bikes & Co. Vespa Showroom in Ashrafieh to kick off the exciting adventure. Having to solve one riddle after the other in order to reveal the next location and gather points, the riders circulated the streets of Beirut, passing by the Martyrs square, the national Museum, Verdun and Hazmieh. Everyone gathered at Commercial insurance offices at Starco for lunch and an exciting gymkhana stage to test the Vespas’ maneuverability and the riders riding skills before hitting the road again heading to Roadster diner Ashrafieh, Zeitouna Bay, and eventually to the finish line at Roadster diner Jal el dib.

The amazing spirit of the Vespa lovers made this event an unforgettable memory and the beginning of a series of unorthodox events that will be happening in order to promote the beautiful image of this amazing community of riders.

A.N.Boukather promises to make of this event an annual happening for all scooter lovers and Vespaholics on a larger scale year after year to cater everyone in Lebanon and the region.
