Lebanon will race in Dakar Rally for the first time ever

September 7, 2017 – The 2018 edition of the Dakar Rally will feature the first ever Lebanese crew as Jad Comair and Antoine Iskandar gear up to represent their country in the world’s toughest rally.

Comair and Iskandar will race a Mitsubishi Pajero – which they sampled for the first time by competing in the Baja Aragón – prepped by Spain’s DKR; the pair want to become the first Lebanese team to complete the arduous Dakar Rally.

The Lebanese crew is also racing for a cause, as all proceeds will go to Anta Akhi – an NGO that supports adults with physical, mental and multiple disabilities.

The 2018 Dakar Rally will be held in January, with crews traveling through Peru, Bolivia and Argentina. The 2018 route will start in Lima, Peru on January 6 and end in Cordoba, Argentina on January 20.
