Lebanon’s two-time UAE Sportbike champion Mahmoud Tannir has signed a new sponsorship agreement with Al-Futtaim Honda, which will see him ride a Honda CBR 600 and will also mark the company’s entry into the championship.
Colin Cordery, Regional Managing Director at Al-Futtaim Honda said: “Honda’s history in the motorbike segment is a long and successful one and our association with the UAE’s reigning Superbike champion aims at raising awareness of the brand’s legendary heritage and its best-in-class bikes. We look forward to a successful partnership.”
The 38-year-old Lebanese rider was extremely happy to be part of Al-Futtaim Honda family, he said: “Honda has a very rich history in racing and I’m extremely happy to be part of the Al-Futtaim Honda family. I am looking forward to my first race on the new bike and I am confident the Honda Package will ensure that I stay at the top of my game.”
