Lebanon’s Mohammad Chehab, who was one of four local Gran Turismo players to earn a spot in the GT Academy Middle East competitions, has won the first round of the Fujairah Autocross 2014 in the Group N class in what was his first ever attempt.
Chehab secured victory driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII and has uploaded a video of his winning run on YouTube. The young driver says he wants to raise the Lebanese flag up high by dominating the UAE Autocross Championship in his category.
Other well-known drivers took part in the event, including Syria’s Fadi Hamadeh, who clinched the overall win, followed by second-placed Lebanese rally driver Alain Nawfal.
