November 30, 2015 – M-Sport has revealed its new drivers’ line-up for the 2016 World Rally Championship which consists of Norway’s Mads Ostberg and France’s Eric Camilli as both Ott Tanak and Elfyn Evans were dropped.
After two years at Citroen with seven podiums, but no victories, Ostberg has returned to an M-Sport Ford Fiesta RS WRC.
“I am really looking forward to the season ahead and honoured to have been welcomed back into the M-Sport team,” said Ostberg, whose first WRC victory was in a Fiesta in Portugal in 2012.
Camilli has limited WRC experience and he comes from Toyota Motorsport, with which he tested the Yaris WRC, but M-Sport managing director Malcolm Wilson believes the Frenchman is world championship material.
“I honestly can’t remember the last time that I was this excited about a new driver. Eric’s WRC experience is limited, but I truly believe that he has all the makings of a future world champion.” said Wilson.
