Lebanese rider Mahmoud Tannir secured his first victory of the 2013/2014 UAE Sportbike Championship season after finishing the ninth round at the Dubai Autodrome in first place this afternoon.
Tannir, who recently signed a deal with Al-Futtaim Honda, rode his Triumph to the 600cc class victory, thus ending Abdulaziz Binladen’s long winning streak and defeating other riders in faster 1000cc machinery.
Saturday’s tenth round will see the two-time UAE Sportbike champion ride his Triumph motorcycle for the last time before switching to the Honda CBR 600 at the eleventh race of this season on March 7, 2014.
