As part of Manchester United FC’s agreement with Chevrolet, the football team’s manager Sir Alex Ferguson has received a brand new Chevrolet Volt, the American manufacturer’s famous plugin-in hybrid which can travel up to 80 kilometers on electric power alone and 480 km once the generator kicks in.
“I think the Volt is absolutely phenomenal. A friend of mine drove one in the States and kept going on and on about it, so when I had the opportunity I said ‘yeah I’m going to try it because it’s the car of the future’, really’. I’m very pleased with it,” said Ferguson.
The Chevrolet Volt won the 2012 European Car of the Year award together with its European cousin, the Opel Ampera.
