Mathieu Reboisson returns to the Lebanese Rally Championship after long absence

June 8, 2016 – Lebanese rally driver Mathieu Reboisson will be competing in this weekend’s 5th Jezzine Rally, signaling his return to the Lebanese Rally Championship after a 6-year absence – having last appeared in the 2010 Cedars’ Rally.

Reboisson, who had been occupied with work abroad, returned to Lebanon this year and was excited to get back behind the racing wheel, and after securing the support of several sponsors, he will be taking part in Jezzine Rally and the remaining rounds of the season that include the Cedars’ Rally and Rally of Lebanon, with Würth Lebanon as his main sponsor, in addition to backing from Wired Gaming Network, Performance First and Maccaw.

Co-driven by Chady Nasr, Reboisson will drive a Mitsubishi Evo IX and compete in the popular Group N category; his aim is very clear: to cross the finish line at the end of the rally.

“I want to finish the event after 6 years away from the sport; it’s like starting over, so I will not be looking at my competition’s times and I will familiarize myself with the car as much as possible.” said Mathieu.

Reboisson’s Mitsubishi will be prepared by RS Team, owned by Charbel Assaker, who’s been great help and support for the returning driver. Mathieu also received assistance from Roger Feghali and Motortune Racing.

The 5th Jezzine Rally kicks off on Saturday afternoon with two special stages scheduled for that day, followed by six special stages on Sunday – bringing the total to eight special stages.
