A McLaren F1 has become the most expensive supercar ever after being recently sold for more than 5.5 million US dollars. Tom Hartley Jr, a British car dealer and the man behind the deal, refused to give a precise number, stating that it was “in excess of 3.5 Million British pounds”.
The F1 is considered one of the rarest and most desirable supercars , with only 65 models built for the road; and at 5.5 million dollars, it is three times more expensive than a brand-new Bugatti Veyron.
It is powered by a 6.1-liter V12 engine manufactured by BMW which develops 627 horsepower, coupled to 6-speed manual transmission, helping the car sprint from 0-100 kph in 3.2 seconds.
