It looks like Italy is not the right place for supercars. After the unfortunate crash of a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing last week, yesterday witnessed the desolation of another legendary car, the McLaren F1.
The supercar was among 17 McLaren F1 road cars taking part in a tour in Italy organized by a group of McLaren owners with some technical support provided by McLaren Automotive.
Although it looks in very bad shape after the accident, the McLaren F1 – chassis number 72 – can still be repaired by the British sports car manufacturer as they have previously restored other wrecked F1s.
