Meet the one-of-a-kind VW Golf GTI RS

December 28, 2016 –  The seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf comes in many sporty flavors: Golf GTI, Golf GTI Clubsport, Golf GTI Clubsport S and Golf R.

However, a factory Golf isn’t good enough for Sam Dobbins, who decided to build his own hot version. Dobbins added the Porsche RS badge to his Golf GTI and adequately named it the Golf GTI RS.

The unique creation features a Rocket Bunny wide-body aerodynamic kit and Vossen tri-spoke wheels. Inside, the car has Statüs Racing carbon fiber ICON GTX seats and a custom 4-point roll cage.

The Golf GTI RS keeps the original turbocharged four-cylinder, but Dobbins wants to extract more power from the engine as he aims to race the car.
