In November 2011, rumor had it that Mercedes-Benz was discontinuing its luxury brand Maybach, though the German company never confirmed the news and stayed quiet about it.
A couple of days ago, Mercedes officially confirmed all 2013 Maybach models will indeed be discontinued thanks to very poor sales. How’d they confirm the news? Not by issuing a press release but by a price list stating “Discontinued” for all 2013 models.
Mercedes is set to replace the Maybach with a more luxurious version of the S-Class, called the S600 Pullman, which will also be offered with every S-Class engine.
