Mercedes-Benz Middle East & Levant 2010 AMG Competition

Recapping last year’s Mercedes-Benz Middle East & Levant check out the event taking place at YAS…

Upon recapping on last year’s automotive activities and in Lebanon and the Middle East, we shed the light on of the most engaging events that took place. The event prepared and organized by Mercedes-Benz Middle East & Levant. The company gave its customers and fans the chance to experience the latest Mercedes Benz AMG vehicles in the Yas Marina Formula One circuit in the UAE, through an online game on Facebook. The competition, was open to everyone over 18 with a valid driving license, they simply had to correctly answer 15 multiple-choice questions related to AMG, the performance car arm of Mercedes-Benz.

Patrick Karam from Beirut won a prize worth US$10,000 including return flights, accommodation at the Yas Marina Hotel in the UAE and track time with a range of Mercedes-AMG cars including the SLS gullwing.

The event was a 7 day tour covering practically everything in addition to be being behind the wheel of an exclusive selection of the AMG fleet – E63, C63, S63, CL63 and SLS AMG – for a drive around the Yas Marina F1 Circuit with a knowledgeable product specialist.

In Addition to many other benefits ranging from learning techniques and experiencing amazing cars, the winners got the opportunity to go on a one-on-one ‘taxi ride’ experience with F1 safety car driver Bernd Maylaender, which was the highlight of the whole event.

The winners in the competition alongside Karam, were:  Abdulla Alsuwaidi and Rashed Al Mulla

Note: Karam, is a well-known Driver and Co-driver behind many new talents in Lebanon. He has participated in many motor sporting events in the Middle East and supported many new drivers. His experience includes organizing motor sporting events, and was a team leader and technical marshal with ATCL for over a decade. Karam was also one of the main players of famous car club, “LebanonRacing.com”.
