Mercedes-Benz has released the first batch of images of its all-new CLA-Class before its first public appearance at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show early next month.
Sitting below the CLS-Class in the four-door coupe segment, the new CLA inherits design queues from the Concept Style Coupe, which was shown at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show, most notably the front grille design.
Based on the new A-Class, the CLA offers three petrol engines: a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with 122 horsepower on the CLA 180 and 156 hp on the CLA 200; the CLA 250 meanwhile, gets 208 horsepower from a 2.0-liter version of the same engine.
The German premium automaker will reveal a CLA 45 AMG high-performance variant of the car next year, while it also plans to offer 4MATIC all-wheel drive on all models.
