July 6, 2017 – The new AMG GT R is the fastest Mercedes road car that you can buy, but why stop there when you can buy the brand’s 2013 Formula 1 car, which was driven by three-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Mercedes recently put up the race-winning W04 for sale on their website. An evolution of the W03, the W04 features a five-element front wing, a second-generation Coanda exhaust at the rear of the vehicle and, most importantly, a 2.4-liter Mercedes-Benz V8 that produces up to 830 horsepower, revs up to 18,000 RPM and is connected to KERS.
Driven by Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg in 2013, the W04 finished 2nd in the World Constructors’ Championship, while Hamilton and Rosberg ranked 4th and 6th respectively in the World Drivers’ Championship. This particular car won the 2013 Hungarian Grand Prix in the hands of Hamilton.
