Mercedes Unveils Limited GT63 APXGP Movie Edition

Mercedes-AMG has revealed the exclusive 2026 GT63 APXGP Edition to celebrate its involvement in the upcoming F1movie. Only 52 units will be made worldwide, making this a rare collector’s car.

The F1 film, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Top Gun: Maverick‘s Joseph Kosinski, was shot at real Formula 1 events. Mercedes played a major role, supplying safety cars and crafting the fictional APXGP race cars used in the movie.

The GT63 APXGP Edition features a sleek black finish with dramatic Race Gold accents. Gold trim outlines the grille, flows along the sides, and highlights a checkered flag design on the fenders. Even the 21-inch AMG wheels wear a matte gold finish. The car also includes carbon-ceramic brakes, the AMG Carbon Fiber package, and aerodynamic upgrades like a fixed rear wing.

Inside, the black nappa leather seats feature gold stitching and microfiber suede. Gold accents continue across the steering wheel, dash, door panels, and floor mats. A 15-speaker Burmester audio system and AMG Track Pace performance data system are also included.

Power comes from a 577-hp twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with all-wheel drive. While pricing hasn’t been announced, the APXGP Edition is expected to cost significantly more than the standard GT63’s $191,550 base.

Each unit bears a “1 of 52” badge, marking its exclusivity. The F1 movie debuts June 27 in North America.
