Michael Jordan, renowned for his wealth and love of cigars, has commissioned the exclusive open-top Pininfarina Battista Targamerica—a custom variant of the multimillion-dollar Battista electric hypercar.
If you’ve got the cash, you can make dreams come true, and that’s exactly how the Pininfarina Battista Targamerica came into existence. This one-off version of the battery-powered Battista hypercar was brought to life by the desires of a well-heeled owner who wanted something truly unique.
Though Pininfarina hasn’t officially named the customer, it’s now known that Michael Jordan is the individual behind the Targamerica. His passion for cigars is evident in the car’s features—most notably, the bespoke aluminum and glass cigar holder and humidor positioned between the front seats. This custom compartment has space for up to three cigars, and its ambient lighting color changes according to the selected drive mode. The five available modes are: Calma (green), Pura (blue), Energica (orange), Furiosa (red), and Carattere (yellow).
Visually, the Targamerica is as striking as a lit cigar. It features unique rear bodywork, an eye-catching silver and blue paint scheme, and a rear wing with matching accents. This stunning look is further enhanced by custom 10-spoke wheels and a sophisticated black-and-tan interior, showcasing Pininfarina’s design expertise.
Performance-wise, the Targamerica is equipped with the same impressive 1,877-horsepower quad-motor all-wheel-drive system found in the standard Battista. Powered by a 120.0-kWh battery pack, this setup allows the closed-top Battista to reach 60 mph in a blistering 1.9 seconds, with a range of around 300 miles on a full charge. Whether the Targamerica achieves the same figures remains unconfirmed, but its capabilities are undoubtedly just as thrilling.
This one-of-a-kind Battista variant offers extreme performance and luxury, meeting the unique tastes of its owner. How far the Targamerica can go on a charge may depend on whether its driver is ready to burn rubber or enjoy a fine cigar.
