March 29, 2016 – A 1986 Mercedes-Benz SL with AMG modifications reportedly previously owned by seven-time Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher has been recently put up for sale.
The car is a third-generation 560SL, but its original engine was swapped for a 6.0-liter V8 AMG powerplant that produces 385 horsepower, and the ad mentions that it “is believed to have been owned by Michael Schumacher.”
Other modifications include a limited-slip differential at the rear, a steering wheel borrowed from a Mercedes E55 AMG (W210), in addition to exclusive AMG wheels and custom rear seats.
Only three versions of this car exist and this particular model is being sold for approximately $334,500.
