February 13, 2017 – Mohammad Chehab’s stranglehold over the UAE Autocross Championship continued as he claimed victory in the second round of the 2017 season last Friday.
Chehab, who also won the opening round last month, drove his Silver Car ST2 to a second consecutive win to consolidate his position at the top of the championship standings.
“I would like to thank all of those who supported me: Shk Abdulla and his team for all the work that has gone through into my car, BMC Airfilters and Mathia Bellusi for supporting me, my friend and mechanic Sergi Planas, and lastly thanks to my father and the Emirates Motorsports Club for their efforts and professional and outstanding organization”. said Chehab.
The young Lebanese driver won last year’s UAE Autocross Championship title and is currently on the right path to claim a second consecutive championship crown.
It is worth mentioning that Lebanese Rally Champion Robert Aaraj also took part in the race and finished 2nd in FWD MOD and 4th overall in the modified cars category.
