November 3, 2015 – Volkswagen Group can’t seem to catch a break after the scandalous dieselgate, with the EPA recently revealing more models that are equipped with the clever defeat device.
According to the US’s Environmental Protection Agency, VW Group vehicles that are powered by the 3.0-liter V6 TDI engine also feature the defeat device, and the cars affected include the 2014 Volkswagen Touareg, 2015 Porsche Cayenne and 2016 Audi A6, A7, A8 and Q5.
With the device, these engines have been shown to emit at least nine times the allowable nitrogen oxide levels.
The Volkswagen Group is yet to comment on the matter, and it hasn’t stopped sales of the affected vehicles, but will likely be forced to do so very soon.
