September 25, 2015 – The 10th annual meeting for the biggest car club in Lebanon and the Middle East, BMW Club Lebanon, witnessed more than 1000 cars at the Warde parking lot in Kfardebian on Sunday, September 20, for an adrenaline-filled day.
Owners and fans of the German brand gathered at the Le Mall parking lot in Dbayeh at 9:00 AM before heading off to Kfardebian, and there were plenty of BMW models present, including the 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series and others.
Louis Tanach, who founded the club back in 2003, said that the 10th annual meeting was overwhelmingly successful and that it was different from previous editions of the event.
“Our 10th annual meeting saw a very large number of cars, which was unexpected, we were very surprised. What was special about this year’s meeting is having a burnout festival for the first time; we also had Lebanese Drift Championship drivers in the event; they were very excited to be part of our meeting and they gave us plenty of support. Additionally, the large media presence made the event quite special.”
Lebanese Drift Championship competitors Mohammad Hamoud, Fouad Mexacy, Mohammad Baalbaki, Paul Khawand, Abed Kahwaji and other drivers contributed to the event’s success as they put on an exciting drift show for BMW Club Lebanon members.
“BMW is a great car for drifting because it was designed to be a sports car and it can be easily modified for greater performance. It’s the best car in the Lebanese Drift Championship, because like I said, it’s easy to modify and it has a great motorsport heritage.” said Louis when asked why BMWs are so popular in the Lebanese Drift Championship.
BMW Club Lebanon is currently supported by a group of sponsors, which Louis thanked by granting them honorary shields in front of thousands of people at the event.

Louis also revealed big plans for the future, including more social activities, services and discounts on spare parts and tyres, in addition to having a drift school, which has been already established, but is still work in progress; a more long-term target is expanding BMW Club Lebanon to become the biggest car club in the world.
