MotoGP Qatar 2012 Results – Lorenzo on Top

2010 MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo claimed his first win of this season under the spotlights of the Lucile circuit in Qatar. Lorenzo started first and kept his position until lap 3 when reigning world champion Casey Stoner Passed him but he kept his head down and hunted Stoner all race long and was able to pass him 3 laps from the end. Stoner was unable to keep his 2nd place and drifted back to third when his teammate Dani Pedrosa claimed 2rd. Pedrosa started originally from 7th place and was able to jump 3 places on the started of the race and continues strongly until the end. Although Stoner was the man to beat in Qatar yesterday since he was the winner there in the past 4 years Lorenzo was much stable and took the win, nevertheless Stoner scored his 16th consecutive podium finish on his way to repeat last year’s glory.

MotoGP Legend Valentino Rossi finished 10th and labeled his bike non drive-able.
