January 2, 2015 – Nasser Al-Attiyah secured his maiden Dakar Rally victory in 2011 with Volkswagen, and after a two-year dry spell in 2012 and 2013, the Qatari driver returned to the podium in 2014 when he finished 3rd overall in an X-Raid MINI.
Al-Attiyah’s aim is to take a second outright victory, and he will take part in the 2015 edition of the event on a MINI ALL4 Racing, alongside Frenchman Matthieu Baumel, to do just that after coming really close last year.
