As if we don’t know yet, but at least the news is official now. Nasser Al Attiyah signs with Citroen Racing to driver a factory DS3 WRC, starting from the 2nd round of the 2012 WRC season. The move that saw a lot of a speculation lately was backed by Qatar which will be Nasser’s lead sponsor on his car.
Nasser will undergo his first ever full WRC season on a prime WRC car. He said after the signing that is looking forward to work with the engineers and both Loeb and Hirvonen. Nasser proved he is very fast on all the smaller categories and now faces a test to prove himself on the highest level.
It’s still unknown when will Nasser start testing the DS3, especially that he is now occupied with preparation for 2012’s Dakar.
