Al-Attiyah went off in the 21.40-km sixth special stage in Ain Aaya and was forced to retire, meaning hopes of a first ever Rally of Lebanon win are now over.

The 12-time MERC winner was running 3rd overall, 21 seconds behind the leader Roger Feghali and 5 seconds behind second-placed Abdo Feghali who lost a significant amount of time after temporarily stopping on stage due to a tyre puncture.
