August 22, 2017 – BMW has revealed the first images of its all-new sixth-generation M5, which is the Bavarian marque’s quickest and most powerful saloon to date.
Powering the new M5 is a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that generates 592 bhp and 750 Nm of torque. It comes with M xDrive four-wheel-drive system as standard. However, the driver can shift all of that power to the rear wheels via the M Dynamic driving mode.
The most powerful BMW yet accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a super quick 3.2 seconds, helped by an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission.
Predictably, the all-new BMW M5 features a more aggressive look when compared to the standard 5 Series, with sportier front and rear bumpers, larger wheels, four exhaust tips and a sportier interior.
BMW will start taking orders for the new M5 in September, while deliveries are expected in the Spring of next year.
