The redesigned Citroen C5 Aircross is larger, comfier, and greener than ever—now featuring electric options and sustainable materials. Unveiled with a fresh platform and bold styling, this second-generation model expands on comfort, space, and innovation.
Built on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, the C5 Aircross boasts a longer wheelbase—offering more rear legroom, increased headroom, and a spacious 651-litre boot (unchanged across all powertrains). Inside, the cabin emphasizes comfort with Citroen’s C-Zen Lounge layout, soft-touch finishes, eight-color ambient lighting, and ultra-plush seats featuring massage, heating, and ventilation in top trims.
Under the hood, there are multiple drivetrain choices. The 48V mild-hybrid includes a 1.2L turbo petrol engine paired with a 0.9kWh battery for 143bhp. The plug-in hybrid ups the power to 192bhp via a 1.6L turbo petrol and a stronger electric motor, supported by a 21kWh battery offering up to 53 miles of electric range.
For full electric buyers, the e-C5 Aircross comes in two versions: one with a 207bhp motor and 73kWh battery offering 323 miles of range, and an Extended Range model boasting 227bhp and a 97kWh battery, good for 422 miles.
Distinctive Citroen touches remain, including its Advanced Comfort Suspension with hydraulic stops and quirky French details—like cabin plastics made from recycled Burgundy vine shoots. A 10-inch digital cluster and Stellantis’ largest HD touchscreen are included, with voice control powered by ChatGPT.
Aerodynamic and bold, this SUV stays true to its concept car roots.
