New Lebanese “Mecanique” prices released for 2017

March 3, 2017 – Bad news! The Lebanese government is implementing an increase on Vehicle inspection a.k.a “Mecanique” prices starting this year. Why? because cars aren’t expensive enough in Lebanon (sarcasm).

Below is a table, courtesy of our friends at Karrenn, that includes the old and new prices and the price increase percentage. Cars are divided by model year and naturally, the newer your car is, the higher the fee.

The “Categories” column is basically your car’s “horsepower”, so you might want to take a look at your Vehicle Identification Card to know how much you have to pay.
