New Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Debuts With 300bhp Power

2025 Toyota RAV4 Unveiled With Up to 300bhp

Toyota has revealed the sixth-generation RAV4, now more powerful and tech-savvy than ever. Offered exclusively as a hybrid, the new RAV4 delivers up to 300bhp in its range-topping plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version, accelerating from 0–62mph in just 5.8 seconds.

UK buyers will have two PHEV options: a 264bhp front-wheel-drive model and a 300bhp all-wheel-drive variant. A 22.7kWh battery—sourced from Toyota’s EVs—powers both, enabling up to 62 miles of electric-only range and fast charging to 80% in just 30 minutes with a 50kW charger.

The lineup includes a new GR Sport trim, offering sportier styling and performance upgrades. This version features high-performance dampers, retuned suspension, improved steering, and wider 20-inch alloys on a subtly broadened body. A mesh grille, unique to GR models, adds a more aggressive look.

Inside, the GR Sport offers WRC-inspired design elements like aluminum pedals, suede-trimmed sport seats, and even console knee pads for added comfort and flair.

Across all trims, the new RAV4 includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch touchscreen, powered by Toyota’s new Arene operating system. This software-driven platform supports over-the-air updates and advanced safety features such as lane change assist, pre-collision alerts, and front cross traffic alert—bringing Toyota closer to its vision of zero road accidents.

With muscular looks, impressive power, and cutting-edge tech, the 2025 Toyota RAV4 proves it’s no longer just a practical family SUV—it’s evolved into something much bolder.
