After scoring his first podium finish ever in Lebanon, we met Nicolas and had this small chat next to his rally car.

You finsihed 3rd overall. We saw that you had a very fast pace, and you were catching the car in front of you, how much time did this cost you?

In the first stage we were off the pace. In the second stage we started to feel more comfortable and we caught Michel Saleh at the middle of the stage, but he didn’t open way for us to pass, maybe he didn’t see us. This really hurt us a lot.

Did this hurt your chances over the course of the whole rally?

Well I don’t think I could have beaten Nick Georgiou, since he was faster than me. We lost around 10 to 15 seconds overall and these are not enough to beat Nick over the course of the whole rally.

Did you feel a difference between your car with R4 and the way it was in the spring rally?

This is a strange case for me since I didn’t feel any difference.

How did you find the new stage?

Well it was amazing. I can’t say it’s technical or not, but I knew that this is where I am going to do a difference.

This is your first podium in Lebanon, how do you feel?

Well it’s an amazing feeling. We had a very good rally overall and a good fight with Tamer Ghandour. We were fighting over 1 second and half a second before he encountered some problems that slowed him down in the end. Nick was faster than me and Roger was in a world of his own. I hope to be better in ROL.
