After a difficult year at the European F3 Open season in 2011 Noel Jammal is training hard to come on top of his demons in 2012. Noel finished his difficult last season on the high nevertheless and worked on obtaining much better fitness as everybody noticed. Noel is also looking to build up on the experience of last year and will work hard on pursuing his dreams.
After the last official winter test that took place last Thursday and Friday, where Noel scored the best times, we had a small chat and Noel filled us with his updates.
“The new team is doing an impressive job finding drivers to race with us” Noel Said. “We have 2 ‘308’ and 2 ‘306’ cars, so in the winter series they told me that the 2 drivers were going to train with us with the ‘308’ car so I had to do the winter testing with the ‘306’ car, so the expectation of obtaining a good result was a bit difficult, but after a chat with my new engineer we decided to focused on training, and do our best. The next day, after the 1st free practice we got an amazing result, it was p2, very close to the pole man who was Alex Lynn an official driver from Mercedes.” Noel added
After the test the team was very happy and encouraged with Noel’s performance and the result of the test was phenomenal. His best lap of 1:40.777 was over two tenths faster than Mexico´s Juan Carlos Sistos and this was enough for pole.
“In all the free practice sessions I was doing great time laps so I was very happy and impressed about my work. In the second day it was the qualification for the winter testing and I was really focused and I knew I could get the pole position and we did get it.” Noel explained
“I’m super happy and focused for the next test of the winter series in Paul Richard, and for next season in general. This first test has given me a good feeling, and I cannot wait to sit back in the car after having made some fantastic times with the Dallara F306 in portimao. All the team is super happy with me and that motivates me even more. I think this will be my year and I I’ll try my best to make all Lebanese people proud of me and their raise their FLAG in Motorsport.” Noel Summed up
