Norris Wins Hungarian Grand Prix After Team Battle

Lando Norris claimed victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix after a tense late-race battle with McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri. Norris used an alternate one-stop strategy to hold off Piastri and secure his fifth win of the season, trimming the championship gap between them to just nine points.

Charles Leclerc led the early stages after starting from pole and maintained his lead through the first pit stops. However, both Leclerc and Piastri ran two-stop strategies, which allowed Norris to gain track position by stopping just once. Piastri pushed hard in the closing laps, closing the gap to under a second, but couldn’t make a successful move on Norris.

George Russell completed the podium for Mercedes, passing Leclerc late in the race. The Ferrari driver, who received a five-second penalty for erratic driving, dropped to fourth. Fernando Alonso delivered a strong performance to take fifth for Aston Martin, while Gabriel Bortoleto impressed in sixth.

Rounding out the top ten were Lance Stroll, Liam Lawson, Max Verstappen, and Kimi Antonelli. Lewis Hamilton struggled and finished outside the points in 12th. F1 now enters its summer break, with the next race scheduled for the Dutch Grand Prix at the end of August.
