Both Latvala and Novikov retired on SS23 just one stage ahead of the finish line. The Russian had a very severe accident promoting the Finn to have the same accident too. Latvala and despite his roll over was able to continue to the end of the stage but wasn’t allowed to continue the rally while Novikov had to retire straight away.
