A very surprising and amazing day 1 in rally Sweden, check out the results in details…

Rally Sweden 2011 has been exciting since the first stage. Well the people who were betting on the new WRC cars to level the competition, they got it right. The surprise leader after stage 1 is Ostberg on a Ford Fiesta RS WRC. Hirvonen is the best man of all the works teams by being second. Although Hirvonen cut down Ostbergs lead in stages 6 and 7 but the Swede still leads.

The surprise of the day is definitely world champion Sebastian Loeb. He struggled all day, and finished the day in 9th position. He tried to pull some time but still trails the leas by 2 minutes and 48 seconds. The surprise continues by both Loeb’s teammate Ogier who is ahead in 6th and won stage 6 too, and Petter Solberg in 3rd, both on DS3s. So, nothing Wrong with DS3. It’s just Loeb!!!

F1 World champion Kimi Raikonen Lies in 11th and still didn’t crash yet and fellow Fin Ford Fiesta RS WRC driver J-M. Latvala is still 4th although he has been going and off the track a lot today. J-M. Latvala damaged his spoiler in stage 7 after very aggressive drivingand went on to win the stage
