Former F1 driver and DTM champion Pascal Wehrlein will compete for Mahindra Racing in the 2018/19 Formula E championship.
Wehrlein will race alongside ex-F1 driver Jerome d’Ambrosio. Both drivers are new to the Indian team; Pascal is making his FE debut and Jerome was racing with the Dragon squad in the previous four seasons.
Both former Mahindra drivers departed from FE. Rosenqvist will race in IndyCar in 2019, while Heidfeld has taken up a new position as a special advisor to Mahindra. The latter will also act as the team’s official test and reserve driver.
This leaves the 2018/19 Formula E championship grid with one slot remaining at Dragon.
