Paul Walker’s daughter files lawsuit against Porsche

September 29, 2015 – Actor Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against German sports car manufacturer Porsche, as she believes the Carrera GT he died in was not safe.

According to the lawsuit, Paul’s seat belt “snapped Walker’s torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis,” thus trapping him in the passenger seat and forcing him to breathe soot into his trachea as the Porsche burned.

The lawsuit also claims that Rodas would have never lost control had the Porsche been equipped with the Porsche Stability Management system (PSM), which was standard on other models. Other issues are also mentioned in the lawsuit, including deficient side reinforcements and flawed fuel lines.

Despite Los Angeles’ law enforcement concluding that the cause of the crash was speeding, as Roger Rodas – Walker’s friend – was driving the Porsche in excess of 130 km/h in a 72 km/h speed zone when the accident occurred, Meadow’s lawyers claim that they were going between 101 km/h and 112 km/h.

Meadow’s lawyer, Jeff Milam, insisted that the “Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car and it doesn’t belong on the street.”
