Pirelli have declared that it will be providing more excitement in the races this year, through its new set of tyres. Pirelli officials claim that this year’s tyres have reduced the time gap between kinds (hard or soft etc…). The time gap was 1.5 seconds last year and it had now dropped down to 0.8 to improve the show. The whole point circles around the problem the tyres faced last year where the soft tyres was much faster than the hard tyre and big difference in time led to people preserving their tyres in qualis, which led the qualis to lose their excitement. Never the less though no body can doubt that Pirelli tyres have dramatically improved the show last year and helped in improving overtaking alongside KERS and DRS. Last year saw Pirelli’s first F1 season and it was successful. This year, we will have to just wait and see.
