Porsche 918 Spyder bites the dust in China

December 18, 2014 – Just weeks after witnessing the first McLaren P1 crash in the USA, one of the first production Porsche 918 Spyder hypercars was crashed yesterday in China.

According to the Chinese media, the silver 918 Spyder was being driven above the speed limits by a woman in a narrow street in Shanghai. The female driver, a friend of the owner who was sitting in the passenger seat, mixed up the brake pedal and gas pedal, which led to the million-dollar hypercar hitting a tree on the right side of a narrow street in Shanghai.

Both driver and passenger escaped with no injuries, but images of the accident posted on Instagram by @webb_cheung reveal some serious front-end damage on the 918 Spyder.
