October 26, 2015 – Porsche’s unrivaled performance heritage is set to take centre stage in central Beirut this weekend, as almost 60 years of the brand’s sports cars are showcased in a unique display open to the public. The extensive ‘Porsche Classic Meets New’ exhibition will run over two days on the 31st of October and 1st of November. The event will take place in downtown Beirut, in the pedestrian area between Foch and Allenby Streets, and will be inaugurated by Lebanon’s Minister of Tourism His Excellency Mr Michel Pharaon.
Over the weekend more than 50 Porsche cars will line up along a walkway, giving visitors the opportunity to get up close with the wide variety of model ranges dating from the brand’s earliest days of standard setting. From a 1956 Porsche 356 Speedster through to the latest Macan, the innovative ‘Porsche Classic Meets New’ display will take guests on a journey through the brand’s past, present and future. With more than 20 iconic 911 vehicles covering over 40 years of the model’s innovations, the physical showcase of Porsche’s exceptional legacy will be complemented by additional activations for the public to enjoy.

The ‘Porsche Classic Meets New’ is the ultimate opportunity for car enthusiasts and Porsche fans who wish to catch a glimpse of history in the form of the brand’s extensive range. Visitors will be on the lookout for the extra-special models on display which extend from the legendary Porsche 356 Speedster to the limited 911 30th Anniversary Edition and the racetrack-ready 911 GT3 RS.
The ‘Porsche Classic Meets New’ exhibition will take place in downtown Beirut and runs over the weekend of the 31st of October and 1st of November, opening to the public starting noon time on Saturday and Sunday the whole day.
