Clemens Schmid‘s commanding form resumed in Round 2 of the 2012 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East as he claimed another victory on the Bahrain International Circuit ahead of Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
Schmid got off to a good start and managed to keep his lead, unlike Abdulaziz Al-Faisal who lost second place to Al Khalifa on the very first lap, and had to settle for third.
Al-Faisal’s Saudi Falcons teammate Faisal Binladen crossed the finish line in fifth position after moving past Zaid Ashkanani and Christina Nielsen at the start; he then fended off pressure from Ashkanani throughout the whole race to take the silver category win.
Round 3 & 4 of the championship will take place at the beautiful YAS Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on the 6th & 7th of December 2012. Make sure you tune in!
