Porsche unveils 911 Carrera 4 and 4S models

Porsche has released the first official photos and information of their much-anticipated all-wheel drive Carrera 4 and 4S models in both Coupe and Cabriolet forms. The models will make their public debut at the Paris Motor Show in a month.

To distinguish the Carrera 4 models from their RWD counterparts, Porsche extended the rear wheel arches further outwards by 22mm in addition to adding the signature red light band that connects the two taillights.

Power comes from a 3.4-liter flat-six engine with 350-hp on the Carrera 4, and a bigger 3.8-liter version on the 4S, which is enough to catapult the car from 0 to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds for the former and 4.1 seconds its faster sibling if equipped with Porsche’s seven-speed PDK twin-clutch transmission.

It is also worth noting that the new generation of Carrera 4 models are 65 kilograms lighter than their predecessors and feature the latest version of the Porsche Traction Management system.

Prices in Lebanon are yet to be announced, but the all-wheel drive variants will surely cost a bit more than the $145,500 Carrera and $172,000 Carrera S.
