Jari-Matti Latvala has taken the lead of the fifth round of the 2014 World Rally Championship in Argentina this morning after setting the quickest time on the second special stage (SS3) of the day’s first loop.
Latvala was initially second, losing to Volkswagen stablemate Sebastien Ogier in yesterday’s Super Special Stage (SS1) and today’s opening stage (SS2), but the Finn’s time in SS3 was enough to hand him the lead as Ogier dropped to second place ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen, Thierry Neuville and Kris Meeke respectively.
Nasser Al-Attiyah leads WRC2, with Nicolas Fuchs trailing him by 35 seconds.
