After taking the lead on Friday’s third special stage (SS3), Jari-Matti Latvala extended his lead in the afternoon by posting the quickest time on the day’s final stage.
The Volkswagen driver lost the lead to teammate Sebastien Ogier on SS4, only to take it back a stage later. Ogier holds on to second place, 18 seconds behind Latvala.
Andreas Mikkelsen and Thierry Neuville both retired from the rally due to mechanical issues on their cars, which handed Citroen’s Kris Meeke third place overall.
Nasser Al-Attiyah remains in a very comfortable lead in WRC2, more than two minutes and a half ahead of Yuriy Protasov.
