Rally Finland 2013 – Day 2: Ogier takes the lead

Sebastien Ogier has taken the 2013 Rally Finland lead on the second day’s afternoon loop; the Volkswagen driver was 0.8 seconds behind Ostberg after SS10 before snatching the lead from the M-Sport Ford driver following a dominant performance on the afternoon stages.

Ostberg now lies in third place overall behind Thierry Neuville with just 2 seconds separating the duo; Ostberg lost the lead to Ogier on SS11, and slipped back to third on SS14 after a slow performance on that stage. Mikko Hirvonen is back in fourth, almost a minute off Ogier.

Kris Meeke and Andreas Mikkelsen were in a private battle for fifth place, until Mikkelsen lost a lot of time on SS14 and dropped back to seventh behind Jarkko Nikara; despite crashing out this morning, Evgeny Novikov is back in the points in tenth.
