August 1, 2015 – Volkswagen’s Jari-Matti Latvala has taken command of Rally Finland at the end of the second full day of competition and goes into the final day of the 2015 Rally Finland with a 13.2-second cushion over his teammate Sebastien Ogier at the end .
The pair have been trading blows since day one, with Latvala taking seven stage wins compared to Ogier’s eight, while Kris Meeke is the only other driver to take a stage win as he went fastest on SS7, but crashed out of third place on SS16.
Citroen’s Mads Ostberg is third overall, more than a minute behind the leader and two minutes clear of fourth-placed man Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville.
Tomorrow, crews will tackle two loops of one 14.13-kilometer special stage in Myhinpää before the end of the rally.
