Rally of Jordan – MERC 2012 Preview

Jordan Motorsport has released additional information regarding Jordan Rally which is set to take place between 11th and 13th of October. Jordan Rally is Round 4 of the Middle East Rally Championship with a total distance of 697.52 kilometers and 256.64 kilometers worth of Special Stages.

Rally Timeline
The Rally’s schedule will be distributed on the 27th of September; registration meanwhile will end on the 8th of October with the drivers’ names announced afterwards; the service area and press room will open on the same day near the Dead Sea.
Journalists will be given their access cards the day after, with practice sessions taking place in Sowayma Mahes, Mount Nebo and Ma’in.
In addition to administrative checks, the 10th of October will witness further practice runs stretching from Al Maghtas till Terki.
Technical checks will occur on the 11th between 8:00 AM and 1:30 AM, followed by a press conference at 2:30. The Rally will inaugurate at 5:00 PM in front of the Royal Automobile Museum in Amman.

Substantial Arab participation.
A big number of Arab driver will take part in the Rally including Lebanese drivers Roger Feghali and Nick Georgiou, Qatari drivers Nasser Al-Attiyah, Abdulaziz Al Kuwari and Misfer Al Marri, Alaa Rachid From Jordan, Saeed Al Mouri from KSA as well as a number of other drivers from Kuwait and Turkey.
