February 13, 2015 – Volkswagen’s world champion Sebastien Ogier has put on a dominant display this morning in Rally Sweden, the second round of the 2015 World Rally Championship, taking 3 out of 4 stage wins in the day’s first loop.
Ogier enters the second loop of stages with a 9.1-second lead over teammate Jari-Matti Latvala who snatched one stage victory (SS4), with Volkswagen teammate Andreas Mikkelsen third overall, 19 seconds off the lead.
Citroen’s Mads Ostberg has been the fastest non-Volkswagen driver; he’s fourth overall ahead of Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville and Citroen teammate Kris Meeke.
It is worth mentioning that Pontus Tidemand took a shock win in yesterday’s super special stage (SS1).
