In a bid to promote their all-new Range Rover Sport, Land Rover has put the mighty British SUV up against the just-as-British Supermarine Spitfire fighter aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force and other Allied countries during World War II.
The Range Rover Sport is heavily disadvantaged by its less powerful 510-hp supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine; the Spitfire boasts a 1750-hp Rolls-Royce V12 engine, but, the SUV has a lot more grip thanks to its four wheels, compared to just three less grippy wheels on the aircraft.
So, who will prevail? Arguably one of the best SUVs on the planet or the much loved aircraft? Find out the answer in the footage below.
